The first week since launching Made With Flower has been… a little bit wild.
When I first designed BLOOMBase™, the idea was simple: replace a traditional polystyrene cake tier with something that actually gives something back. A beautiful sentimental wedding memory, not a lasting landfill contribution.
I sometimes struggle with articulating such a wild new concept but what I didn’t know was how quickly people would understand the idea.
Within the first week of launch:
• Orders started coming in from across the UK
• Our Instagram following doubled
• Wedding professionals, cake designers and couples all started reaching out
• And we’ve already had international enquiries asking how to get hold of them
First of all - THANK YOU. This time last year I was on maternity leave with no idea of what would happen next or where this could go.
For a product that didn’t exist a few months ago, this is an incredible signal but it also tells us something important: the industry is ready for a better option. Thank you for contributing something better to the world we live in.
What's Next?
We’ve already had messages from cake designers outside the UK asking if they can get hold of BLOOMBase. The short answer: not yet — but soon.
This first phase is about proving demand, learning quickly, and answering the questions that come up when something completely new enters the market. Once that’s stable, international shipping is very much on the plan. You can sign up to our international waitlist here and get notified when we're on our way to you.
If you’re outside the UK and interested in stocking or supplying locally, we’d love to hear from you. Building the right network of partners will be key as we scale.
For Cake Pro's
I'm also building out a dedicated programme for cake professionals and wedding businesses. This will include trade pricing, cross-promotion and guidance on how to position BLOOMBase to clients.
We want this to become a tool that cake designers use regularly, so we’ll be introducing loyalty discounts for repeat purchases.
