How do you plant it?
After the event, BLOOMBase can be broken up, soaked in water, and planted in soil or a large planter. More planting care and guidance is available at madewithflower.com/care and each aftercare card mentions these resources.
What do I tell my clients?
Each BLOOMBase will come with an Aftercare Kit that includes simple planting instructions and tips. All they'll need is a patch of soil or a large pot, plus a little compost and water. Celebrate love, grow life.
What is it made from?
Designed with sustainability and strength in mind, each BLOOMBase tier is crafted from rigid, FSC-certified compostable board and biodegradable adhesives, with a seed-infused core featuring UK-native wildflower species.
Is it strong?
BLOOMBase has been engineered for strength and performance when stacked. Each tier supports 10kg+ in weight whilst remaining lightweight, with a detachable lid for easier positioning, handling and storage. BLOOMbase is designed to retain structural integrity even when iced for prolonged periods of time.
Will seeds fall out when I use it?
No. Seeds are not loose, they are embedded in a secure internal layer within the core, so there's no mess during storage, handling, or decorating.
What finishes are compatible?

Is BLOOMbase food safe?
As with all non-edible cake dummies, BLOOMbase™ is not intended for direct food contact. Use a food-safe barrier before applying anything designed for eating.
Can I use dowels?
Yes but they're not necessary for support. BLOOMbase includes a pre-drilled 10mm central pilot hole for more secure stacking and handling. The tier can also be punctured by hand if needed using a pointed tool or drill. If the hole isn't required, it can be easily covered with a piece of tape before decorating.
